Things to do in this beautiful area of Spain

Take a trip to Valencia either by car or train.
Routes are from Xativa or Gandia. The journey from Gandia offers spectacular scenery through the rice fields and orange groves. Valencia has many attractions. It is rich in history and has the recently built Science and Arts city – the largest cultural complex in Europe. As well as fantastic shopping and restaurants.

Visit 'L'Oceanogràfic' the biggest aquarium in Europe.

You could take the trip to Benidorm an hour and 10 minutes away and visit Terra Mitica – which is the largest theme park in Spain, or relax and take the waters at the spas in Chulila. For a less relaxing time take to the water at the near by water park in Cullera.

There are also 6 world-class golf courses within easy striking distance, like El Bosque Golf Club located west of Valencia. This is a course of championship quality.

Mountain bikes are available free of charge for your use – Take a short cycle ride into the village for lunch – or maybe explore the many cycle tracks in the area.

There are many footpaths and signposted hikers routes close by, to suit all grades of walkers. There is also guided walks available as well, or just relax by the pool, enjoy a drink from the bar and wait for dinner to be served.

Why not visit the mountain pool at Pou Clar. This Nature Park is of great ecological and recreational value. with a group of “windows” carved into the rock, called the Moors’ Windows. Ontinyent is mid-way between Valencia and Alicante. Also archaeological sites include an extensive late roman cemetery just south of the ancient city area. These are the Visigoth remains at the Bancal del Cel, where nearly a hundred graves have been found dating back to 6 A.D.

If you feel like an evening of English food, you can visit the local English owned resturant bar Blancos only a few minutes from the lodges in the village of Lloc Nou D'En Fenollet. For excellent food and friendly welcome Children's meals available and your family will be made to feel at home.

Benidorm is in the province of Alicante. It is a holiday hot-spot with wide beaches and tourist attractions. This is a fabulous day out. Benidorm is always filled with festivals and offers plenty of moments.
